The La Lumbre El Tizón XL is built for serious cooking, reliable heat, and long-lasting performance. Constructed from heavy-duty carbon steel and designed with a firebrick-lined firebox, the El Tizón XL delivers excellent heat retention while giving you the versatility to cook, bake, roast, and heat with real wood fire.
Its spacious cooktop provides plenty of room for everyday cooking, while the integrated oven box gives you another way to prepare your favorite foods—from potatoes and corn to meats, breads, and more.
BUILT TO LAST
The body of the El Tizón XL is constructed from 3/16" carbon steel, with a heavy-duty 3/8" carbon steel cooktop designed to handle high temperatures and years of use.
Inside the firebox, firebrick replaces our traditional 3/8" carbon steel heat shields. The firebrick helps protect the steel body from direct flame, retain heat, and create a more efficient and consistent cooking fire.
VERSATILE COOKING
The large 15" x 24" cooktop gives you plenty of cooking space for pots, pans, skillets, and griddles. The rear smoke-exit section adds an additional 6 inches, providing proper space for the smoke outlet while maintaining the stove's functional design.
The El Tizón XL also features an oven box built into the stove, allowing you to cook foods such as potatoes, corn, and other dishes using the natural heat from your wood fire.
FIREBOX & ASH MANAGEMENT
The firebox is lined with firebrick for added heat protection and improved heat retention. An internal ash tray makes removing accumulated ash easier and helps keep the firebox clean and ready for your next fire.
For even more cooking versatility, the fire grate can be replaced with a charcoal grate, allowing you to switch between traditional wood-fired cooking and charcoal cooking depending on your preference.
